Through the rose colored lens...









I love hand-colored black and white photos and movies.  They have that strange, muted yet hyperrealistic, other worldly look.  They remind me of looking into a viewmaster.  This little dimensional world you feel you could step into.  Like the real world in exciting technicolor.  All these photos are property of the Brooklyn Museum's collection.  They were taken around 1900 at the Paris Exposition.
