Tobacco Road.

This cover is brilliantly baffling.  Considering that this novel is about poor, rural cotton farmers struggling through the Great Depression in 1930s American South it boggles the mind what connection this cover art could possibly have with the actual story... I'm sure many innocent, browsing book store clients picked this one up hoping for passages about midnight romps and salmon-pink shrouded ecstasies.

@Gabriela - Haha, it definitely looks like steamy erotic literature rather than some great American classic. I haven't read Tobacco Road-- I usually fall asleep just thinking about Grapes of Wrath and all those Dust-Bowl era, rural, dry, hard times novels that were required reading back when I was in high school in the States.

Books Im reading now or have recently read that I would whole heartedly recommend are: Naked Lunch, Just Kids by Patti Smith, Life by Keith Richards, Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, and Creativity by Osho.

beijos!
