I'm not sure anything much to say about this strange photoshoot, all I can ascertain is that it is a display of zany (misspelled "Zaney" in the article) Christmas gifts that were listed in a Life magazine article.... One is a watch/dog collar, another is a back scratcher, there's a leopard print bikini, a sleeping eye mask, glasses with a crystal tear, and studded glasses.... There was one strange contraption I couldn't figure out, and an oversized pair of gloves painted to look like beastly large ladies hands, perfect for... painting stuff in your apartment? Most of the photos have a crazily sexy air to them as if they are presents for swinging singles living a life of glamour and wealth in the big city. I didn't get the actual date but from looking at the photos they appear to be from the late 50s to early 60s. The models and kooky presents, completely glamourous and devoid of any sentimental holiday ephemera, remind me of Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and presents the gang at one of Holly Golightly's parties would be bestowing on one another during the holidays.
