Swedish Photographer Anna Malmberg got in touch with me quite a while ago and left a link to her lovely blog and site where I found a world of blurred dreamworld images, heroines and heros in hazy black & white or muted colors, all viewed through the compassionate lens of a kindred spirit. There is some sense of quiet strength to her characters that frolic in abandoned alleys, shaded forests, decaying old houses, and desolate town squares. Her photos are like a voyeuristic peak into a private, emotional moment of solitude by compelling characters who have either stolen away into isolation or whose voices have hidden or lost in the fray of the outside world.
